- Moreover, our armed and unarmed escorts, fully trained and backed by a national ground team structure and control centre, are on standby 24/7 to respond to your safety and security needs.
MEDICAL
Press the MEDICAL button whenever you need emergency medical assistance:
- An ambulance or a rapid response vehicle with the appropriate lifesaving support will be dispatched immediately where relevant.
- You or your family member will be stabilised on the scene for emergency medical transportation by road or air under medical supervision, if necessary, to the closest and most appropriate medical facility.
- Our staff is available around the clock to provide you with general medical information and advice.
- One call to 086 110 4222 triggers our medical operators to guide you through a medical crisis, provide emergency advice or arrange the appropriate support by utilising our 24-hour contact centre doctor.
- This service also includes crisis referrals to telephonic trauma counselling as well as suicide and poison hotlines.
- DCM Assist is linked via agreement into the South Africa-wide footprint of private ambulance service providers.
- All of them are registered with the Board of Healthcare Funders of Southern Africa and comply with their regulations as well as those of the Health Professions Council of South Africa and the Department of Health.
ASSIST
Press the ASSIST button when you have trouble on the road:
- Ten litres of fuel will be supplied – on a maximum of two occasions per year – should you run out of fuel. (Fuel assistance at non-roadside locations is available on a member-to-pay basis only.)
- A towing service to the nearest place of repair or safekeeping will be provided to you in the case of mechanical or electrical breakdown. (An additional towing service will be provided in the event of the most appropriate place of repair not being open at the time of the breakdown.)
- A service provider will be dispatched to change a flat tyre – any costs related to repair the tyre, parts, wheel balancing or similar charges are for your own account. (In case your vehicle is not fitted with a spare tyre or the necessary tyre changing equipment, it will be towed on a member-to-pay basis only.)
- An appropriate service provider will be dispatched to unlock your vehicle if the key is locked inside or has broken inside the ignition or door. The cost of the call-out plus one hour labour is included, but key cutting costs or costs related to any other parts and components are excluded. (Should the key be lost, assistance will be provided on a member-to-pay basis only.)
- A service provider will be dispatched to jump-start your vehicle. If the problem cannot be resolved the vehicle will be towed to the nearest place of repair or safekeeping. (Costs related to parts and components are excluded.)
- Note: Incident limits as per client specification.

Request a designated driver service after a night-out on the town:
- Two drivers will be dispatched to you – on a maximum of three occasions per year – to ensure that you arrive home safely and your vehicle is driven home for you.
- The service is available where the total trip does not exceed 50 kilometres and the pick-up and drop-off points are within the metropolitan areas of Johannesburg, Pretoria, Cape Town, Durban, East London, Port Elizabeth, George and Bloemfontein.
- Should you exceed the maximum of three occasions per year, you can still make use of the service, but the booking will be facilitated through the designated service provider.
